The Company Iprona AG/SpA was established in 1981 as a joint venture of HENKEL KGaA in Düsseldorf and DRAGOCO GERBERDING & CO. GmbH in Holzminden.
The headquarters and factory in Lana are in the heart of the South Tyrolean mountains, in one of the most enchanting Alpine regions and one of the largest fruit-growing areas in Europe. In 1983 the whole shares were finally taken over by a bavarian (D) entrepreneur family.

Today Iprona is an international company dealing with fruit processing and marketing. The present fruit product spectrum includes, along with concentrates and puree /pulp concentrates of berries and tropical fruits, also natural colourings (especially from elderberries) and client-specific fruit mixes. The most famous product is "Rubini®", a natural fruit concentrate of an intense red colour, produced by special processes. Its is especially used to colour foodstuffs such as fruit sauces, ice cream, yoghurt, liqueurs, beverages and confectionery.
